AmpTree exists so artists and fans can share music, build connections, and discover new sounds. These Guidelines describe how we expect people to act on AmpTree and what kinds of content are not allowed. They apply to every part of the Service — profiles, posts, replies, direct messages, merchandise listings, and anything else you share.
AmpTree has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content or conduct that breaks these Guidelines will be removed, and accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate these Guidelines will be suspended or terminated.
The following content and conduct are prohibited on AmpTree. We remove it when we find it, whether on a public profile, a post, a reply, a direct message, or a merch listing.
Targeting, mocking, intimidating, or threatening any person. Coordinated pile-ons, doxxing, and unwanted sexual advances are not allowed.
Attacking or dehumanizing people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious illness. Slurs and hateful symbols used to demean people are not allowed.
Pornography, sexually explicit content, and non-consensual intimate imagery are not allowed. Any content that sexualizes or endangers minors is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement as appropriate.
Graphic violence or gore, glorification of violence, threats of real-world harm, and content that promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders are not allowed.
Content that promotes illegal activity, the sale or use of drugs, weapons, or other regulated goods is not allowed. Merchandise listings must comply with applicable law.
Unsolicited promotional content, link spam, phishing, malware, fake engagement, ticket scalping scams, and any attempt to manipulate the Service or its users are not allowed.
Pretending to be another person, an artist you are not, a brand, or AmpTree staff is not allowed. Parody and fan accounts must be clearly labeled.
Only post content you have the right to share. Do not upload copyrighted music, artwork, or video that you do not own or have permission to use. Copyright owners can submit a notice under our DMCA process described in the Terms of Service.
Do not share another person’s private information — home address, phone number, financial information, immigration status, or other sensitive details — without their consent.
If you see content or a user that breaks these Guidelines, report it from inside the app. Tap the report option on the post, reply, message, or profile, choose the reason, and submit. You can also email us at info@amptree.io.
We aim to review reports of objectionable content or abusive users within 24 hours. Reports are confidential — the person you report does not see your name.
You can also block any user directly from their profile or from a message thread. Blocking stops that user from following you, replying to you, or sending you direct messages.
Depending on the severity of a violation and an account’s history, we may take any of the following actions:
Serious violations — including content that sexualizes minors, credible threats of violence, or coordinated harassment — will result in immediate termination without prior notice.
If you believe we removed your content or actioned your account in error, you can appeal by emailing info@amptree.io from the email associated with your account. Describe the content or action and explain why you believe it was a mistake.
We will update these Guidelines as AmpTree grows and as we learn what is and is not working. Material changes will be noted by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
